Last man standing... PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS the open world shooter will enter Closed Beta testing on February 24, 2017, with the aim "to offer the best Battle Royale experience".
BATTLEGROUNDS is an Unreal 4-powered FPS which has been produced by Greene, the creator of the “Battle Royale” game modes for ARMA 3 and H1Z1, and Bluehole studios, developers of the MMORPG TERA.
PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is total PvP: 64 players will pit against each other and enter a last-man-standing battle, if they survived. Shooting skills are required, but before any action players need to find and upgrade their weapons. The island is designed as realistic 8x8 km world, so players need to rush out empty handed, locate weapons, vehicles and supplies, scout for high-value locations and get ready to fight.
The developers decided to enter Early Access on Steam first, right after the Closed Beta testings, and plan to launch the shooter as a full, but paid, non-MMO title. Find more info at the official site.
