A new tactical, military shooter is in the pipeline. Poland-based studio The Farm 51 officially announced 'World War 3', an FPS to be created with Unreal Engine 4 and set in a fictional scenario of a global, military conflict. World War 3 will be based on a free-to-play revenue model.
Development for World War 3 has started a couple of months ago. Core features of the FPS will be precise, real-life upgrade and customization options for the military units and tactical, team-based gameplay. The game will offer to control both infantry units and vehicles, soldiers from many countries fighting on authentic locations.
Players can expect intense PvPvE battles, realistic, UE4-powered graphics and effects. The Farm 51 promises to deliver realistic environments and game mechanics, settings in which players immerse themselves into massive, authentic battles.
The Farm 51 will be working for the next two years on World War 3 and hopes to launch it in 2018, for the moment the setup sounds pretty promissing. The Polish studio had made experiences with developing FPS in the past with an adaptation of the famed game Painkiller.
