Splash Damage rolled out Open Beta for team-based shooter Dirty Bomb and made it available exclusively on Steam to players in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The developer celebrates this "huge achievement" and claims that Dirty Bomb is "free-to-win". Check out the latest trailer:

Dirty Bomb is a showcase of this and of our partnership and collaboration with Nexon. With more than two years of testing by thousands of our fans through closed Alpha and Beta, Dirty Bomb is a game of firsts for us and the industry.”
The Open Beta will offer you to choose on of 12 Mercs, but just two Mercs, the Combat Medic Aura and Fire-Support Specialist Skyhammer, are always free to players. Additional Mercs will be made available in rotation such as Kira, a powerful tactical character, Sawbonez, a frontline support medic and Fragger, aggressive pointman.
Players can test their skills on five maps and two modes, and of course new content updates will be arriving in coming months.
