Claiming to be one of the first 10 games to be Greenlit by the Steam community, World War II shooter Heroes & Generals is now available to Steam users.
The free-to-play shooter boasts to have amassed more than 1.5 mio players and will be available both as browser-based version and a new stand-alone Steam client. Existing users can log in with their current Heroes & Generals account. There won't be any differences between the two versions, except the patching and that all in-game purchases will be processed through either the Steam wallet.
Heroes & Generals is a free-to-play FPS with strategic elements in which players pit against each other as 'Heroes' on ground, by plan or in vehicles on the battlefield. The latest update also includes the paratroopers feature, as players can drop behind enemy lines. As 'Generals' players decide war through managing support and assets, planning defense and attack.
Developer Reto-Moto has localized the game into English, French, German, Spanish, Czech, Polish and Russian.
