3000AD announced that the sci-fi MMOFPS Line Of Defense will make its debut exclusively on Steam as Early Access in July, as part of the first public Beta testing.
Players can explore a massive, persistent world with enormous bases some spanning more than 16 sq. km. They can also build stations and carriers in space and attack the bases on the planet or engage in PvP combat on foot, in vehicles or other aircrafts.
The first Line of Defense build will feature the Heatwave starbase and the GCV-Starguard carrier in orbit around the Lyrius planet. During the Beta new features and content will be unlocked.
3000AD needs the player feedback and will address issues and suggestions.
Participating is not cheap though, the MMOFPS will be available for Early Access adopters for $99.99, which includes several premium items and a free copy of the recently released Line of Defense Tactics companion game.
