Survarium MMOFPSOh that is good news for Blizzard Enterainment. Overwatch shot straight in at no.1 in the UK, right after the launch on May 24th. But more interestingly, the shooter secured the no. 2 spot on the overall top ranking of all played PC games in Korea, a country where free-to-play is the only business model for gaming.

As the UK Interactive Entertainment Association (Ukie) informed, Overwatch is the fastest selling Blizzard title and surpassed other shooter heavyweights. Gamers in the UK love playing shooter games - here is the Ukie top 10 ranking (all platforms) for the last week in May 2016:

1. Overwatch
2. Unchartered 4: A Thief's End
3. Doom
4. Homefront: The Revolution
5. Call of Duty: Black Ops III
6. Ratchet & Clank
7. FIFA 16
8. Tom Clancy's The Division
9. Total War: Warhammer
10. Grand Theft Auto V

And these are the top 10 most played games in Korea as per today:

1. League of Legends
2. Overwatch
3. Sudden Attack
4. FIFA Online 3
5. Starcraft (yes, really)
6. Lineage (yes, really)
7. Dungeon Fighter
8. Diablo 3
9. Blade & Soul
10. Aion

Now, the amazing thing is that Overwatch accounts for more than 20% of the usage time of all games and LoL still with 30%. With other words half of all Korean gamers combined are playing either LoL or Overwatch by now - mostly in so-called PC bangs, where they don't have to necessarily buy Overwatch right away, but can play it with additional fees.

It may be only Blizzard Entertainment who can create and launch a game that is simultaneously successful in both Western and Eastern regions.
