Tom Clancy's The Division broke the record with 6.4 million players in the Beta which took place February 19-21 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. According to Ubisoft this was the "biggest beta ever for a new IP on current generation platforms". That is a nice start for the action shooter-RPG which is set for release on March 8th.
On average, players spent 4 hours and 52 minutes as an activated sleeper agent, journeying through The Division’s pandemic-stricken New York City. More than one third of that time was spent in The Division’s unique and challenging player-versus-player (PVP) environment, the Dark Zone, with more than 2.5 million players going rogue.
The Division is a unit of tactical agents whose mission is to investigate the source of a virus which swept through New York City. The agents protect the suviving civilians and fight off hostile factions.
